Meet the Creator of Care Connect

Britini is passionate about meeting the behavioral support needs of Brevard County, FL. She’s had a heart for children with special needs ever since she began caring for her little brother diagnosed with ASD at a young age, and is so proud of the positive & amiable young man he is growing up to be. She has been an RBT for 7 years and loves her job of providing ABA therapy to Autistic kiddos. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UCF, driven by her passion to explore diverse avenues that enable her to effectively address the needs of families in Brevard County.

How it Started

The idea of Care Connect began with the dream of making childcare for special needs children more accessible. Other states have accessible, state-funded respite care programs in place for parents, but Florida’s government unfortunately has not made it a priority yet. It is simply too high-risk for many families to trust their children with the average babysitter, which is why we decided to recruit local professionals who already have experience and training in providing behavioral support. Then we asked, “Why stop at babysitting? What other resources do parents in Brevard County need?” Stay tuned for exciting updates as this community grows.
