Frequently Asked Questions

Family FAQ

Does my child need a special diagnosis to use Care Connect services?

Absolutely not! While we are Autism-friendly and our providers are experienced in special needs care, everyone is welcome to the Care Connect community; everyone deserves access to qualified care.

Do I get to choose my provider or will I get randomly assigned to one?

You have the choice! We believe families should have all the say in who they trust with their children. As a Care Connect member, you will be able to browse through our providers to see their qualifications and availability before reaching out.

When I choose a provider, do I pay for their services through the Care Connect website?

No, you will not pay the Care Connect Providers through our website. While Care Connect focuses on connecting families with specialized providers, we do not employ any family care providers.

What are the membership fees? Is that how I pay for services?

The Parent Membership Fee is a one-time payment that secures a lifetime membership with Care Connect. Your Care Connect membership is what provides you access to browse and connect with providers (caregivers, community support, etc.). This one-time membership fee is separate from what you would pay providers directly for their family care services.

How do I pay my provider for services?

Payment for family care services (caretaking, community support, etc.) is between the family and the provider. Care Connect focuses on connecting families with specialized providers and community resources to help you thrive and live happy, functional lives. We do not employ any family care providers.

Are recurring services available or just one-time services?

Each family and each provider has the option to schedule services in a way that works best for them. Everything is available as long as it works with the family and provider’s schedule. That could mean a one-time service, bi-weekly, every 3rd Thursday afternoon, etc.

Does Care Connect provide ABA therapy?

No, Care Connect does not provide ABA therapy services. However, we are happy to recommend the following reputable ABA providers:

Positive Behavior Supports, Corp – Team PBS offers person-centered ABA therapy to help individuals and their families do more activities, go more places, and achieve more goals. We provide the highest standard of care for the client in home, school, and community settings.

Paloma Academy – Paloma Academy is a private primary school that offers behavioral and educational support programs for children ages 2-9.

My child qualifies for ABA services. Can their RBT or BCBA also serve as my Care Connect Provider?

No. Per the BACB Ethics Code for RBTs (1.10) and Behavior Analysts (1.06), providers must avoid multiple relationships with clients. As such, providers may not offer childcare services to individuals currently receiving ABA services from them.
